Darnhall Nursery and Primary School

Darnhall Nursery and Primary School, Winsford spent their grant from the Jo Walters Trust buying equipment to create Maths intervention boxes that children could use in school, but also more importantly, use at home with parents to reinforce their in-school learning and increase parental engagement. They said:

'We are in the early stage of interventions having only returned to school at the beginning of Sept but initial feedback has been very positive and boxes have been out every evening since school reopened . Parents and children are loving working together and we are already seeing an increased levels of parental engagement and children being excited about undertaking maths projects with their parents.'
